I went to Armação dos Búzios, a city in Rio de Janeiro – Brazil, from 01/31 to 02/04.
We took this trip as a family to celebrate my brother-in-law’s birthday. So there were 9 people, and once we went there by car, the first day was basically sitting in the car waiting to get there.

Who is my brother?
Let me introduce him.
He is Rodrigo Schmiegelow, an advertiser specializing in Digital Marketing, today he lives as a Digital Nomad (what is it), in other words, that he has geographic freedom and can work from anywhere in the world.
He started a trip around the world to get to know places, cultures and regional cuisines and we will bring great surprises from these experiences.

Experience in Armação dos Búzios – First Day
We were in 2 cars and it took us about 10 hours to get there. Due to my sister’s kids, we made more stops than we were planning to.
The trip itself takes about 8 hours and if you want to take this route by car, be prepared for the tolls, because there are many.
We arrived at the house we rented on Airbnb around 1 a.m., so we just went to sleep to enjoy the other day.
Visiting the beaches of Armação dos Búzios
On the first day, we went to João Fernando beach, and for the first experience with a beach in Armação de Búzios, it was great. The beach was very nice, the water was delicious, there were almost no waves, it was a lot to enjoy.

Still on the first day, we visited Praia do Forno – Oven Beach -, which has extremely cold water and reddish sand, and we also went to Praia da Foca – Seal Beach -, which didn’t have such cold water.
The next day, we went to Azedinha Beach, which was by far my favorite one. It is very beautiful, the sea is very calm and the water is not too cold.
Consequently, we also know Praia da foca – Seal Beach – and Azeda Beach, because to get to the azedinha beach you had to go through these two.
In Búzios, you can go to the beaches with a boat taxi, which is like a speedboat that takes you from one beach to another. Its price varies a little, but it is in the range of 10 to 15 reais ($2 to $3 dollars).
Schooner tour
The Schooner tour in Armação dos Búzios is super fun and worth it. We saw some beaches that we had not seen before, we swam in the high seas, which is a little scary and we also went diving.
Diving
Diving was offered within the schooner tour and cost 30 reais ($6 dollars), it was on João Fernando sea coast.
It was really amazing. I saw some corals, lots of fish, sea urchins, starfish, and so forth.
I confess that I was a little scared, mainly because I saw some jellyfish, but they did not represent any danger.
It lasted about 30 minutes and it was a very good experience, I had never done a dive before.
City tours – experience in Armação dos Búzios
Every day we went for a walk along Rua das Pedras, there are many souvenir shops, bars and restaurants, it is a very pleasant environment to go to at night.

Chez Michou
Still on Rua das Pedras, we decided to have dinner at Chez Michou, which now has a unit next door called Pátio Michou.
Both are restaurants from the same franchise, but I thought Patio Michou had a nicer atmosphere, as well as more food variations.
Both also specialize in crepes.
I always heard my sister Kamyla and my brother-in-law Durgan talk about this place, and I confess I didn’t give a damn. But I was surprised by the crepes there, they are extremely delicious and super filling, it was really worth it.
