Best cities to visit in Bolivia
Sucre is the official capital of Bolivia, it has a very rich architecture and an extremely preserved historic center.
It is a reference city in the paleontology field, and has a dinosaur park, the Cretaceous Park, this park is 30 minutes from downtown. The ticket costs 30 bolivianos ($4 dollars).
You can visit Plaza 25 de Mayo and the historic center, the Church of San Felipe Neri, Mirador de La Recoleta, Museum of Indigenous Art, and much more.
Cities in Bolivia – La Paz
La Paz is the administrative capital of Bolivia and is a high altitude city, more than 3,600 meters above sea level.
To adapt to the altitude, you can easily find coca leaves to chew.
In La Paz, there is a cable car transport system, which is an extreme and super efficient system that connects different parts of the city.
In this city it is possible to visit the Coca Museum, Calle Sagarnaga, Calle Jaen and its museum, Plaza Murillo and many other fun tours.
Copacabana is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Bolivia. There you can take boat trips to Isla del Sol and Isla de La Lua (bothe are incredible islands).
The city has an excellent infrastructure, with many banks, restaurants and bars.
Cities in Bolivia – Potosí
Potosí was one of the richest cities in the country and in the world, today it is a world heritage site.
It is certainly a very interesting place to visit, especially for those who want to know a little more about the history of Bolivia.
Cerro Rico, one of the highest mountains in the region, is certainly the main tourist attraction that you must visit, in the past it was one of the main silver mines in South America.
It is one of the cities with the most industries in the country, in other words, you can find many products with very low prices.
In Cochabamba you can visit the archaeological museum, the Mercado de La ancha (one of the largest supermarkets in Latin America), Cristo de La Concordia (a Christ the Redeemer retelling that has indigenous traits).
