What to do in Boituva – São Paulo

Boituva is a city in the state of São Paulo, located in the Sorocaba Metropolitan Area.

It is a great place to take a walk, due to its beauty, Boituva has incredible hills and a pleasant climate.

Its name has Tupi origin,it was called by the natives as M-Boituva, which means “many snakes”, due to the amount of snakes that used to inhabitat in the place.

Who am I?

Things to do in Boituva


It is the ideal place to practice this radical sport. It was there that I parachuted with my younger brother.


To make the jump, just choose a package with a skydiving agency, and there are many in Boituva, and go on an adventure.

Nowadays you can parachute at 14 years old, you will need the authorization of the parents if under age, but only if they do not go with you, the signature must be recognized by the notary’s office.

Hot air balloon – what to do in Boituva

Balloon is the ideal tour for anyone, seeing the city from up there, the hills are really enchanting.

In Boituva there are also several agencies for you to complete your balloon ride and see the entire horizon in 360° from above.

The price varies a little according to the agency you choose, but it is in the range of 400 reais ($75) per person.

Museu do Tropeiro – Tropeiro Museum

The museum was founded in 2007 and aims to conserve and tell the history of tropeirismo.

Tropeiro is the name given to troops of horses (or oxen and mules) drovers, in the 17th century. The drovers were responsible for carrying goods from one region to another by mules and horses.

It has more than 700 items that tell the story of the drovers, the tickets are free and for more information visit this site.

Parque Ecológico Eugênio Walter – ecological park

The Eugênio Walter parque is a great option for an ecological tour in Boituva.

It has species of Brazilian fauna and exotic animals that, for the most part, were rescued from illegal possession.

It works from Tuesday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. without tree climbing practice and from Friday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with tree climbing practice.
