The house was in the Ocian neighborhood, the area was very crowded, with many adults and teenagers having fun, listening to music and drinking on the boardwalk.

Arrival at Praia Grande

I was in Guarujá with my sister, so the trip to Praia Grande was calm and fast. Now, for our friends, it wasn’t like that.

Praia Grande

They went from the city of São Paulo to Praia Grande by bus and it took about 6 hours to get there, which is a long time, since the out of season trip takes around 1hr 30min.

Ocian District – New Year’s Eve in Praia Grande

We stayed in the Ocian neighborhood for the New Year’s Eve in Praia Grande, and it was very crowded, even in a pandemic period.

There was a street fair with many amusement park attractions, such as a carousel, Ferris wheel, and so on. There were also some food stalls, with several food options. Very cool to go with the family, especially if you have kids.

There you can also visit the Boutique do Peixe – Fish Boutique, the market is shaped like a boat and sells fish that were caught in the morning.

It is also possible to visit the Neptune state, being a point of reference there, it was built of bronze and makes reference to the God of the Seas in Greco-Roman mythology.

New Year’s Eve 2021 to 2022

We went to the beach at 11:30 p.m, on the 31st to see the fireworks and spend New Year’s Eve there.

The beach was very nice, a little crowded, but I was able to enjoy it well. There was a very nice fireworks display, which lasted about 30 minutes.

New Year’s Travel Problems

At the turn of the year, from 2021 to 2022, our friends, including my sister, went to sea. My sister was keeping the key with her and let it dive on the ocean, losing the key in the sea. Soon after, my friend’s glasses were stolen.

At the end, at 12:30 a.m. on January 1st, we were locked out of the house, our friend without his glasses, and trying to call a locksmith, who got there around 1 a.m.

But apart from these problemas – what in Brazil we call “perregues” -, it was a very fun trip, which was certainly worth every single second.
