Curiosities about Caldas Novas
Caldas Novas is a municipality located in the state of Goiás.
Nowadays, there are about 86 wells in operation, pumping approximately 1.2 thousand m³ of hot water every one hour, with temperatures of 34°C and 57°C.
Its thermal waters are warm due to the natural temperature inside the earth.
There, rainwater penetrates the grand makes its way towards the center of the earth. As it reaches deeper regions, this rainwater gains pressure and heats up.
What to do in Caldas Novas
Serra de Caldas State Park
It is a conservation unit, with approximately 120 km 2 in length, it was created in 1970.
It features two trails that have as their destination beautiful waterfalls and lockouts in the region.
Corumbá Lake
It is a meeting point for those who practice water sports.
Ideal for jet-ski, speedboat and boat rides, which lead to waterfalls and bars along the shore.
Things to do in Caldas Novas – Casarão dos Gonzaga
Presenting colonial style, it is a historical and cultural heritage of the city, being one of the oldest houses in the city.
Water Parks
Hot Park – opened in the mid 90’s, it was the first naturally warm water water park in the world.
Water Park – this water park is very close to the hotels and has about 12 thousand m² and a beautiful structure.
Clube Privé – the simplest and cheapest of all.
DiRoma Acqua Park – the largest water park in the city, it has around 55,000 m², very well structured, with guaranteed fun
